Devclub #027

Greetings! The XXVII DevClub will take place on the 15th of May at 19.00 in Oru Hotel. Last time we had full house, so be quick to register 🙂

This time:

  • Filipp Keks (Software Developer at  Creative Mobile) will talk about “Unity3D – explosion of indie game developmet”. Filipp will speak about general principles of game development and share the experience of participating in big scale project. He will discuss the pros and cons of the engine and explain how it became so damn popular.
  • Kristo Iila (Marinexplore) will talk about “Marinexplore – The Ocean’s Big Data Platform”. Kristo’s talk will focus on what technology their company has developed and how it helps solve the problems inherent in making a web-based GIS product that is responsive and efficient. He will take a look at various map projections, tools and data formats that are in use in their technology stack. Their product – MarineOS –  integrates, indexes, visualizes and analyses large amounts of planetary data. It makes this data easily available for companies in offshore, maritime, remote sensing, weather and climate related industries. MarineOS marketplace solution enables providers to make their data available for purchasing. Example deployment of MarineOS is their open data community integrating large-scale content from devices and models. More information about the company and products is available from marinexplore.com

Event will be held in English. So, do not miss the opportunity!

See you on the 15th of May at Oru Hotel!
